Editorial policy

WA Toolkit publishes guides and posts about a feature that is actively changing. That makes accuracy a process, not a one-time event. This page describes the process.

How content is created

Every guide and post starts from observable facts: how the WhatsApp app actually behaves, what official help content states, and what the platforms' own rules enforce. Where something cannot be verified, we say so in the text rather than guessing. The clearest example is username availability, which no tool can check; every page that touches the topic states that limitation plainly.

How accuracy is checked

The format rules our tools enforce live in a single place in the codebase, so the checker, the generator, the reference tables, and the homepage can never disagree with each other. Those rules carry a visible verification date, shown on the checker and in the rules guide, which is the date we last confirmed them against the app.

How updates are handled

When WhatsApp or another platform changes behavior, we update the rules first, then the written content, and bump the visible dates. Guides show their last updated date at the top. A dated page is a promise: as of that date, this was checked.

Corrections

Readers who spot the app behaving differently from our content are our best accuracy mechanism, and corrections are acted on with priority. Report anything through the contact page. When a correction changes a page's substance, the updated date changes with it.

Independence

No platform, brand, or third party pays for coverage, placement, or recommendations. The site currently runs no advertising; if that ever changes, ads will be visually distinct from content and will never influence what the content says.
