General
What is WA Toolkit?
Four free browser-based tools for WhatsApp usernames: a rule checker, an idea generator, a click-to-chat link and QR code generator, and a cross-platform handle checker, plus guides that document how all of it works.
Is anything I type stored or sent anywhere?
No. Every tool runs entirely in your browser. There is no backend, no account, and nothing you type leaves the page. Theme choice and saved usernames live in your browser only.
Can any tool check if a WhatsApp username is available?
No. WhatsApp has no public availability lookup, so no tool anywhere can check this honestly. Our tools validate format, which is the checkable part, and every page says so.
Is this site affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta?
No. WA Toolkit is an independent project with no connection to WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. See the disclaimer for the full statement.
Are the tools really free?
Yes, completely, with no sign-up and no paid tier. The site currently shows no ads either.
How current are the username rules?
The rules the tools enforce carry a visible verification date, shown on the checker page and in the rules guide. When WhatsApp changes something, the rules and the date change with it.
WhatsApp Username Checker
Open the whatsapp username checker
Does this tell me if a username is taken?
No. WhatsApp does not offer a public way to check if a username is taken. This tool checks whether a username follows the format rules, so you know it can be accepted before you try it in the app.
Where does the checking happen?
Entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server or stored anywhere.
What are the basic username rules?
Usernames use lowercase letters, numbers, periods, and underscores, within the allowed length, and must include at least one letter. The full rule list with examples is on this page and in our username rules guide.
Why does WhatsApp reject a name that passes here?
The format can be valid while the name itself is unavailable, reserved, or not yet supported in your region while the feature rolls out. Format is the part you can check ahead of time, and that is what this tool covers.
Is this tool affiliated with WhatsApp?
No. WA Toolkit is an independent project and has no connection to WhatsApp or Meta.
WhatsApp Username Generator
Open the whatsapp username generator
Are the suggested usernames available on WhatsApp?
We cannot know that, and no tool can. WhatsApp has no public availability check. Every suggestion is pre-validated against the format rules, so anything you see here can be accepted if the name itself is free.
Can I use these for a business account?
Yes. The format rules are the same. For a business, shorter and closer to your brand name is usually better than clever.
How are the ideas generated?
From what you enter: your name or keyword is combined with separators, themes, and optional numbers. Every candidate runs through the same validator as our checker before it is shown.
Is anything I type stored?
No. Generation happens in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
WhatsApp Link Generator
Open the whatsapp link generator
What is a wa.me link?
It is the official WhatsApp click-to-chat format. Opening wa.me followed by a phone number starts a chat with that number, without saving the contact first.
Does the pre-filled message send automatically?
No. It only appears in the text box when the chat opens. The person still has to press send.
Do the links or QR codes expire?
No. The link encodes your number, nothing else. It works as long as the number is on WhatsApp.
Is my phone number stored anywhere?
No. The link and QR code are generated in your browser. Your number never leaves the page.
Does this work with WhatsApp Business?
Yes. Click-to-chat links work the same for personal and business numbers.
Cross-Platform Handle Checker
Open the cross-platform handle checker
Does this check if the handle is available on each platform?
It checks the format rules of each platform, which is what can be verified reliably. For availability, it gives you a direct profile link per platform so you can confirm in one tap. We do not fake automated availability results.
Which platforms are covered?
WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook by default, with optional checks for TikTok, X, Telegram, and YouTube.
Why do platforms disagree about my handle?
Each platform has its own length limits and allowed characters. A name that is fine on Instagram can fail on WhatsApp. This tool shows you exactly where it breaks and suggests the closest variant that works everywhere.
Is my handle stored or sent anywhere?
No. All checks run in your browser.
