Accessibility statement

WA Toolkit is built to be usable by everyone, including people using keyboards, screen readers, magnification, or reduced motion settings. We target WCAG 2.1 level AA across the whole site, and we treat accessibility issues as bugs, not suggestions.
What is built in

Keyboard support. Every tool and page works without a mouse. A skip link
jumps past the navigation, focus is always visible, and tool pages support pressing
/to focus the main input and Escape to clear it. - Contrast. Both the dark and light themes meet WCAG AA contrast on text, controls, and states. The light theme uses a darker accent color specifically because the brand green cannot meet AA on white.
- Screen readers. Pages use semantic landmarks and one heading hierarchy. Live results in the tools are announced politely, form fields have visible labels and described errors, and pass or fail states are conveyed in text and icon shape, never color alone.
- Reduced motion. All animation is subtle to begin with and fully disabled when your system asks for reduced motion.
- Touch. Interactive targets are sized for fingers, and every layout works at small screen sizes and high zoom levels.
Known limitations
QR codes produced by the link generator are inherently visual. The tool provides the equivalent wa.me link as text alongside every code, which is the accessible alternative, and each code carries a description of where it leads.
